Yes, I'm lazy. I admit.

Today just want to share a little things. Recently I'm planning for my trip in June and July. Still many pending yet. Sigh, how good if I put so much effort on my studies.

I'm at Birmingham since Friday when the quarter final starts. The purpose of the trip this time is to watch all England badminton match. Before I came, I predict that Dato Lee Cong Wei will meet Lin Dan at the final. Haha~ Bingo~

It was more than one month since my last post here. I have so many activities after my exam that cause me away from this blog =)

Let me summaries what I done roughly last month:-
I'm having a exam period late January so I was studying for it. No time for blogging, sorry.
Just few days after my exam, I have to prepare for my poster presentation. It was held on the Chinese New Year Eve. Then we had a great dinner at a Chinese Restaurant. The following weekend I was at Leeds just to visit my friend.
Last weekend, I visited Newcastle and Durham.

I'm sure you all waiting for those wonderful photos. I'll upload it later when I'm free.
Tomorrow is the end of CNY, not sure what activity to be carry out.

Day 1 - Amsterdam

The first day of the journey. Woke at 530am early in the morning but not enough sleep actually because went to bed at 4am. After a rushing breakfast, we went to bus stop for bus. Unfortunately, we waited 15min in the freezer(-6C reported by Google) non of them appears. We managed to call a cab later. Very soon later, a Stagecoach bus arrived. We went up on the bus and arrived at Paragon Interchange 10min before the train leaves. So sorry to the taxi.

The scenery along the railway no longer green like my first arrival at UK. They been whiten by the snow. White xmas feel :) Quite lucky that our train operates normally. The other line to London had been cancel because of the heavy snowfall over there.

"White Land"

After we reach Leeds train station, we quickly find our way to Leeds Bradford International Airport. The bus number 757 which cost £2.50 took around 30mins to reach there. We entered the depature hall after the document check (non-eu). Very unfortunately and fortunately, our flight had delayed around 30mins and we still able to fly to Amsterdam.

The flight takes around 1hour (I fall asleep) and reach another white land. The airport were still full of snow (ice perhaps) because of the heavy snow fall recently. We been attracted by the duty freeshop at the airport terminal. At last we manage to find our way out to city center.

The city were full of snow and it was horriblely cold. Soon we find our way to the hotel we booked.

We manage to have dinner at Hardrock cafe Amsterdam suggested by Richard. That meal cost us €90.85. Since the weather was extremely cold and all of us are so tired, we went back to hotel after the meal.

Finally I finished one of a famous novel in movie version. The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. The movie describes some detective story something like National Treasure. It is some sort of solving a bunch of code to get an answer. I'm not talking in details about the movie but I'm interested of the place where they take the scene. I should watch the movie before I went for my Europe trip perhaps.

The first scene which when the movie starts was at The Louvre, where Mona Lisa stays. Of course I went there when I was at Paris, France. The next thing about the code solving was the painting The Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci of course. The Last Supper is a wall painting at S.ta Maria della Grazie at Milano, Italy. I been there too when I was at Milano. I didn't went to the Temple Church at London, United Kingdom this time but I think I mostly will go to there during my next London City exploring. This is a place that we can't miss out. Many others wonderful places such at

Some says Leonardo Da Vinci is the author of The Holy Bible. If it was true, he had cheated the peoples for thousand years. So far we still can't prove it yet. From my point of view, religion is base on the people believes. For what you believes it is, that is what it is.

This few weeks I was very busy because it is the end of a semester. Reports, assignments and essay are queuing up waiting for me to complete. That's why you can't see me appears here. But very unfortunately, you still can't catch me here after the semester ended. This is because I'm going to leave my footprint on the snow over 6 places over the Europe. I'm very excited now because there are only 4 hours left for me to stay inside my room before stepping on the train to Leeds Bradford International Airport. Hope to share more photos when I'm back.

Yesterday we had a great meal with lobster. A real lobster, but also a frozen and cooked one. Each of it only cost 5pounds. Yes! Only 5pounds, I bet you can't find a RM25 lobster around Malaysia. I created a recipe by maintaining the original delicious taste for the lobster: bake it with some garlic and cheese. It looks simple but taste well.

Something that was not so good happened yesterday too. Someone tried to break in my room. But very lucky, he fail to do so. That time I was having a nap and I heard something was pushing my curtain. I taught it was my playful friend but I'm wrong. It was 'someone' that trying to break-in my room. I saw some footprint left outside my windows when I wake up. This incident make me a habit to close all my windows when I leaves my room (normally I left the small windows open).

The road was cleared for few days but it starts to snow again since yesterday. Some fine snow fell down and whiten the road. My weather proof shoe had not arrive after dispatching since 7th this month. So sad, I think the postman had already forgotten my package. :(

We have the longest dinner on Friday with the accompanies of Jack Daniel with coke over the night. We start the 'story telling competition' and it lasted for 3.5 hours. I can't really remember what story but it was about their college life and our life at UK.

16th December is a day where a boy had born 22 years back. Mr. Yong Chin Yuen. Happy Birthday to you again. We can't really celebrate your birthday but we tried our best to make it perfectly. We prepared some food that we seldom have (most of them are fried one) and a Merry Birthday cake for him. Hope you enjoy your birthday at UK.

Another bad news, when I was back from city centre, I saw footprint outside my windows again. Scary~! I already reported to the security department last Friday and they said that they will send more patrols and will be more frequent. I hope they don't break the promise. For safety purpose, I will bring my baby and leave it at my friend room which located at the 2nd floor.

Another boring Wednesday, I was at home for the whole day. My stuff haven reach. It already 1weeks since my order. Haiz. Rushing report again but no idea what to put in. Yesterday packed almost 1hour for the stock ordered from ASDA. The snow falls awhile just now. Please don't snow again!!! Start to melt the snow now. I'm bit worrying about my trip. Countdown 12days from now :)

This is a normal day as usual. The sun rise at the morning, set at the noon time. I didn't step out from the house. Even though there was a lab session in the morning but I just ignored it. Too lazy to wake up and walk to university just for a 3hours lab or maybe just 2hours. I been working on the reports over the weekend NON-STOP and just want some rest.

What ended up at last? I didn't really writing my report but wasting time on TVB 43rd Anniversary Gala. It snatched around 3hours from me while I'm having my brunch. It was almost 3pm by the time I finished it. I continue with some works on the report and start 'cooking' dinner. Aiks, forget to take a photo what I ate.

As the snow are melting, it will become water. The surface between water and snow are very slippery and there are possibility that the water had turn into ice. Therefore the slippery level goes up. Level up!!! We must be very very be careful while walking on the 4 layers surface: pathway, snow, water, ice.

Vehicle access to the campus this weekend will be via Inglemire Lane and Cranbrook Avenue.
LibraryThe Brynmor Jones Library will be open between 9.30am and 5pm today and tomorrow (Sat 4 and Sun 5 Dec) for the normal weekend service.

Went to library at noon time, just for a simple meeting about report writing. The report deadline actually is on last Tuesday, but because of the weather it was postponed. The new deadline was Monday midnight at 1am.

It was already 2months since my arrival on this piece of land. I don't know what to do today. Wake and sleep many times and finally get down from my bed for lunch. The snow outside are still very thick. My house mate said that this is a very unusual weather for UK. Snowing and cold weather normally only occurs in January. It came too early this year, hope everything will be fine during my Europe trip. I hope that no flights to be cancel or delay if not I'm wasting money over there.

Due to the persistent weather conditions and the associated health and safety risks, all meetings and classes on the Hull Campus are cancelled today, 2 Dec. The library and all administration offices are closed.
There is no vehicle access to the campus and staff and students should not attempt to come on campus in cars.
If members of staff can work remotely, please arrange to do so.
Students who have coursework to hand in or books to return to the library are granted an extension until the University reopens.
If there is a specific reason why access is required, please contact the report centre on 01482 466868 to check whether you will be able to gain access.
The campus is extremely slippery and people should use extreme caution.
Staff and students are advised to check for updates on this page before leaving home.

The second day of December, it was very unusual. Normally I was very busy attending class at Thursday from 9am till 4pm with one hour break in between. But today all classes was cancel. I waked up at 8am as usual but the network had not been recover since its breakdown last night. Lucky there was an open wifi somewhere near me but the signal was not too strong. I tried 10mins to connect to the wifi just to check our university homepage if the class still going on or not. Thanks to them who having internet connection for their handset and informed me via sms for the class cancellation notice.

After I confirmed that class was cancelled. I go back to my lovely and comfortable bed. I stayed at the dreamland till noon time. I was waked by a loud noise. I look out through my window, it was the noise from the falling snow brick from the roof. The snow on the roof was too thick and too heavy. My advise is, please don't stand beside your house if your roof contains snow. You might have chance been buried inside. Lolz.

During the lovely evening, around 2.30pm, my friends and me went to Pearson Park to ensure that our duckies can stand for the cold weather. Yes, they done it. I'll post the photo some other time if I'm free. Walking on snow is not an easy one. On the other hand, my Nike was not a waterproof one. My foot was almost frozen when the snow went into my shoe.

It was the 3rd day since the campus was closed. I had planned to go to the lab today but I failed to do so. I can't make my lab report as a perfect one. I got the coding for software and it was tested but I can't proof toe my lecturer that the codes works. Aiks, I should save the screen shot of it earlier when I get the result. I think it will be all right. Haiz.

As I said yesterday, the snow is falling from the roof. That's why the snow on the ground today was much more thicker than yesterday. Maybe I shouldn't say snow, it already become ice. A compress version of snow. A very hard one because of the below degree temperature and also the snow was melting slowly. The pathway was full of ice now. Slippery and dangerous, you might pok kai(cantonese: fell down) if you walk on it. Nobody could drive their car out for them who parked their car at the backstreet. But for those who park in front of the house, it is not easy to drive around too. Because the road are full of snow, except some main road.

1 Dec (11am) - Notice to students:

Course work and library books

As the University is closed due to the adverse weather conditions, course work and library books that are due today may be submitted or returned without penalty on the day that the University re-opens.

The first day of December, winter time! It seems the snow had already out of control. The sky can't stop itself from falling snow. Everywhere outdoor are filled with snow now. Cars, roads, trees and so on. There are no exception even a rubbish bin. I think I need to order food for 1 month later on.

It's almost one week since the snow started but it's not winter yet. The air is getting dryer and dryer. All the trees become white and leaves less. During the beginning of the snow, you would never see a single snow on the ground because it can't survive in the temperature that time. When it almost fall on ground, it become another form of H2O.

The temperature change accordingly when the snow arrives. During the night, it will go downs till -3C and 3C during a sunny day(a day with sunlight, don't expect a hot sun here). Let's look at some photos:-

Today is an extremely shiny day. I think this is the last day that I could see a shiny sun at Hull until the winter ends. Last night was raining, that's why the light of sun reflected from the watery road surface into my eyes. It's like some sort of feeling while facing the beach. I love that feel. Don't know when is my next time to see such a scene again.

Yes, it was snowing!!! Finally I feel the snow at UK. It's a natural one, not like what we saw at Snow World, Genting Highland. This is my first snow experience except for the Snow House at The Mines if I'm not wrong.

Another boring weekend over here. This week totally no event or activity. Yesterday went to city centre to buy moisturiser as my skin getting dry over the dry weather here. The outdoor temperature now is 3C from Google Weather while my room temperature was 15C. I placed several cups of water around my room and I hope that it helps to rise the humidity inside my room.

Even it was weekend but I'm still very busy as there are several reports to be submitted next week. Not only report, I have to complete my circuit design asap before end of this semester. I think the following days are going to be busy and suffering around all my tasks before my Europe Trip. Ouch~ Winter semester break is not far away now and it was just 5weeks away!!!

The weather for this week went below 10C. I know that autumn will gone very very soon. As the trees starts to be botak(bald). Leaves can be found easily everywhere outside. Even my room floor also full of dried leaves. The wind are also blowing stronger than previous. It's the symptom that winter is coming to town. Well, cz is waiting for the first snow in his life.

Looks nice but very inconvenient when it was snowing. The roads are full of snow, it's quite dirty when the cars roll over. People will also having difficulties for going out to buy food. Thus, the best way is to hibernate inside the house. :)

I scarified lots of sleeping time for this trip to Nottingham. Why do I say so? We gathered at 5am at University main gate. Therefore, I have to wake up on 4am. Besides, I went to the Fireworks Display Event one day before and came back late to my hostel. After blogging for that event it was almost 1.30am and I went to bed at 2am. Omg~ only 2hrs of sleep.

Without talking craps, let me go deeply into the topic. I arrived at Nottingham University around 7am where the game held here.

For your information, Nottingham Malaysian Games is the largest Malaysian student gathering at UK which attracts up to 6000 students from 60 universities from all over the United Kingdom. This is the 26th Nottingham Malaysian Games while Nottingham University Malaysian Society had been hosting this game for 6 years.

Without wasting time, we cabut(flee) out to the city centre after the opening ceremony. I just don't understand why there's a doa(prayer) session during the opening. Not all Malaysian are Islam what.

As you know cz can't sit still and curious for exploring a new city. Still now he's still regrets because didn't went to the Malaysian Food Fair. Haiz. With the aid of his gps, he found a big road just beside Nottingham Sport Centre. Therefore, he and his friends start their journey to Nottingham City Centre. After 5min of walk, we reach a bus stop.

The city is quite far away from the campus. It takes 15-20min by bus. Omg, what is the first place we visited at the city? Is the Gala Casino!!! Lolz. Why do we entered? To get our free gift and to go to the rest room. We already get 3 stamp previously, and we will get a gift for the 4th stamp. Well, I only won 3pounds from the casino which cover my bus ride to the city.

We wanted to find place for our breakfast but fail to do so. After more than 10mins simply walking around, finally we reached the Old Market Square without realising it. Here is the centre of Nottingham City.

Why there are fireworks today @ Hull? I'm not sure with that, but for sure is not Deepavali or Diwali celebration. From what I heard, fireworks display is a yearly event here. Just accidentally fall at the same day with Deepavali and Diwali. I hope my explanation is clear enough.

I'm so sorry for that. As I said before, my camera is not the professional type. And you can compare the quality of fireworks from both difference places above. You might notice the one from Genting is having smoke as 'background'. That's the reason. My New Year Eve fireworks photos is filled up by smoke.

Finally, which event fireworks looks nicer? For me, I prefer the one that I saw last night than the one at Genting Highland. At least there were not so much smoke as background, right?

Another weekend coming soon. Yesterday went to city centre again. For what? Gala Casino!!! Omg, of course I'm using the last free voucher which worth 15pounds. Guess what I get? I won around 5pounds from roulette and around 12pounds from black jack with 2pounds of investment. LOL.

Today I'm going to city centre again for the yearly fireworks display event. Don't know how nice is the fireworks here but I think won't be worse than the one I saw previously. Haha, quite confidants with UK actually. I will spend rest of my day in city centre by visiting Gala, shopping, having dinner at city centre and enjoying the fireworks display. I had a great dinner just now. The most wanted curry taste from Malaysia. Thanks to Sing Long Food Products Sdn. Bhd. Their instant mix pack allow me to bring home-taste aboard. I think they should import to UK and let the people taste how tasty are our curry. LOL.

I'm still having several type of instant pack like my favourite Bak Kut Teh (but the pork here doesn't taste good), herbal chicken, rendang chicken, asam fish. Can wait to try all of them but I need to be passion. Because all of them are 'limited edition'. Can't be found easily at UK. So we only can cook Malaysian food once a month.

I still can't understand why the people here only eat few kind of food. Ham, sausage, fried, lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, potato, tomato. All are fast cook food. I think the only longest cooking time food are steak. There are not much fresh seafood here but fish and chips could be found easily everywhere. The only word to describe is LAZY!!!

Today is the 4th Monday since I been to UK. As usual, woke up early in the morning just for one lab session at 10.15am. I went to lab but don't know what to do. I waited my supervisor to appears but he didn't. Wasted 2hours sitting over there surfing net.

I went back to my hostel to cook my lunch. Guess what I cooked today?

Hi all, this is my 3rd week at UK. If you ask me whether I miss Malaysia or not, for sure I will answer I miss very much. Especially my family members and... yes, is you. You who are reading my blog.
Today is not cold but it was a windy day. The wind is so strong till the string of the kite will break if we fly a kite. I'm hoping that I could fly a kite here. I woke at 930am, why so early? As I said yesterday, today I will go to The Deep (photo's to be upload soon).

Let's say about my expenses over here in short brief. Many people are asking me about this question especially for those who are coming here soon.

UK goverment expect each student will spend up to 600pounds outside London per month. Let's calculate it:-

I will be here for 10months --> 600×10 = ₤6000
Accommodation rental for 9months --> (₤2400)
Grocery expenses*** (₤20/week) --> 20×4×10 = (₤800)
Local Transportation* (₤2.50 return) --> 5×4×10 = (₤200)

Dinner** (₤2/meal) --> 14×4×9 = (₤72)

Well, December Europe trip will cost me at least 800pounds. So I left 1.7k on the total. If I'm having another trip on April next year, it will cost me another 800pounds again. The new balance will become ~~900pounds~~ 400pounds. Omg, it seems I could only spend ~~900pounds~~ 400pounds to buy other things. It was ~~90pounds~~ 40pounds per month only.

Today seems like not so much sunlight. Cloudy? Nop. Just no sunlight. Waked at 6am local time. Why would a pig wake so early?

Firstly, I have to submit my project plan draft by 12pm. That's why I wake up such an early in the morning. Yes, I did it. I saw the sky slowly become bright but not so bright as well. Lolz~ what crap im talking. While I was doing my project plan, I was enjoying MALAYSIAN taste MILO. After I done my project plan, which finished around 1030am (efficient enough?) then I went for a shower. After the shower, I only realise I haven wash my face and brush my teeth @.@

Since when cz become big head prawn??? Is it someone who spread the virus??? Aiks~

Firstly, I would like to apologise for my late blog. Oh yeah, I started to become busy. Just a bit free now so I'm here to crap something. Haha.

Just submitted my 1st lab report yesterday. That's why I'm didn't blog since Sunday. And one more project plan is going on which due tomorrow. Aww. Pity cz. The temperature here becomes a single digit recently. It's freaking cold so I'd order a 'shield' to fight against the winter.

It's the 3rd weekend at UK. After a long weekend 'holiday', I have to start doing all my jobs. A short brief for how do I spend my weekend here. Thursday, went to city centre. 2nd time visit to Hull Dock (1st time with Richard). Friday, went to Pearlson Park which was just 15min walk from my hostel. Today, went to ASDA. ASDA was another brand of hypermarket in UK. I will upload the photo for my activity when I'm free.

Next thing that I would like to report of course is the weather. Haha! Today highest was 7C, lowest 2C. The wind was very strong and I can feel the freeze. Well well well. Is time to prepare for winter.

There are many places at Hull which I haven't figure out. I think I should plan one day to The Deep (an aquarium) and the museum as well. Ohya, I might going to Nottingham later and Leeds by this weekend.

Today is a very beautiful day. The sky are blue, weather is good, wind are strong but most important is the temperature is high. Hurray~ Outdoor temperature today was 13C and the feel just like Genting. Quite cooling not freezing. It's a very nice weather. Maybe I should find a kite to fly :)

Waked at 9am, after checking emails and facebook-ing. Around 10am I went out to another house to cook my lovely and delicious breakfast. Ops, should consider as brunch perhaps. Well well well, take a look for what I have for my breakfast.

Ham + Bread + Tomato + Salad + Sausage and it only cost me ₤1.40 for 2 set. That's why I say it is a brunch~!

As stated, cz totally been defeat by the weather here. The lowest temperature that he met so far was 3C. That was pretty extremely cold to him. But lucky, that was just only an unusual day. Normally, the outdoor temperature will maintain at 10C and he still can stand it.

CZ miss Malaysia milo very much, to make sure that he get the milo supply for whole year or maybe half year before he could used to the breakfast style there. Therefore, be brought 4 pack of 23 stick milo to uk. I wondering is he crazy? wth~

It is a freezing day. I can smell winter in the air. Ya, it's getting nearer and nearer to me. Waked at 8am, class at 10am. Ops, is lab. This is my first official lab for digital systems design. I got to catch up what did I missed on the past and gods helps me. Yes, he did it. With helping hands from my lovely classmate, finally I finished my latching circuit (electronics term, is okay if you couldn't understand) design and done stage 1 for my mouse interface as others had done it on 15th.

Aiks, just now went to tesco to buy food for my meal. I didn't notice that I didn't bring any cash out. Lucky, I got one credit card with me. If not, I probably will be in the police station now. That is the problem without a debit card with me. I hope to get it by this week.

Now, I have plenty of 'snack' inside the fridge. Firstly is my lovely and tasty YAKULT which I used to drink one bottle everyday at Malaysia. Perhaps, I couldn't afford to do so here. It's damn expensive. Next is my favourite cheese, the laughing cow. Yummy!!! I bought some yoghurt and grapes too. Of course, 2 bottle of milk for my breakfast and a pack of fruit juice. Erm... I spent around 15pounds every week on these snack.

Waked around 8am this morning but didn't get down from the bed. Lazy bug is like that one :)
Finally I get down from it on 10am, after brushing my teeth and washing my face I sit down on my chair for some finger exercise~ lalala~

Boiled one jug of water as I will every morning, and of course one cup of lovely Milo!!!

Yesterday went to City Centre, bought some long selves shirts from Primark. Ouch, spend another 19pounds there. My previous visit to there spent 16pounds for bedsheets, cutlery and laundry bag.

This morning I waked at 7am because my class was at 915am. After I settle everything and step out from my hostel, I feel some thing like mist falling down from the sky. Oh gosh~ It was raining.

Rain at UK is really extremely fine, unlike the heavy rain drops in Malaysia. That was too over. I love fine rain. You will not get wet instantly but for sure you will it you stand long enough out there. :)
